Holiday Sales Watch
Every year starting on Black Friday and continuing until Christmas Day, Retail Alliance conducts a weekly poll of a selected set of retail members. We ask each member about their store's estimated percentage increase or decrease in sales each week, shoppers' general attitudes, and hot items. These results are then consolidated and distributed to the membership base, as well as local media on a weekly basis. Many retail members received significant free publicity from this program, when Retail Alliance refers media representatives to call upon Holiday Sales Watch participants, with their permission of course, for further information.

General Assembly Legislative Update
During the General Assembly in Richmond each year, Retail Alliance's resident lobbyist Margaret Ballard provides retail members with weekly updates on bills and policy-related issues that are of concern to the Hampton Roads retail industry. These email updates also include direct links to contact information for area legislators, further information about each bill, and links, allowing each member the ability to voice their opinion on an issue or bill being considered.
