Retail Alliance Bolsters Retail Services Division

Norfolk, VA - Three account executives have joined the Retail Services division of Retail Alliance. Gwen Anderson, Khalilah LeGrand and Jennifer Powers are responsible for recruiting new partners, membership marketing campaigns and partner retention. They are also assisting with marketing the company’s business products and services.

Retail Alliance, formerly the Retail Merchants Association of Tidewater, is an Equifax credit reporting affiliate offering credit and mortgage reports, pre-employment screening tools, and check guarantee services. The company also offers professional development, training, and business resources for retailers. Founded in downtown Norfolk in 1903, Retail Alliance’s service area now includes all South Hampton Roads communities, the city of Franklin and Isle of Wight County.

The three account executives have extensive experience in the retail industry and are graduates of Old Dominion University (ODU). Prior to joining Retail Alliance, Ms. Anderson was employed by Dillard’s Department Stores as a visual merchandiser. She had previously served as a visual merchandiser for Burlington Coat Factory. She graduated from ODU with a B.S. in Occupational and Technical Studies.

Ms. LeGrand was previously a sales associate for Facet’s Jewelers. She obtained two degrees, a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and a B.S. in Psychology. While attending the university, she was employed in the Office of the President. She also serves as a member of the Downtown 100.

Ms. Powers served on the sales staff of Barnes and Noble before joining Retail Alliance. She graduated with a B.S. in Occupational Technical Studies and a minor in Marketing Studies. While attending ODU, she was also an intern with the marketing director of Pembroke Mall.
