Retail Alliance Vice President selected Boss of the Year

Norfolk, VA - Tom J. Bond, vice president of Recovery Services for Retail Alliance, has been selected “Boss of the Year” by the Norfolk Chapter of Credit Professionals International (CPI). CPI is an international association for professionals who work in the credit industry.
A veteran credit industry executive, Mr. Bond manages the Retail Alliance collections division. Started in 1957, this department has increased its success rate by over 40% since he was appointed manager two years ago.
A nine-year employee of Retail Alliance, Mr. Bond was previously vice president of member relations. Prior to joining Retail Alliance, he was manager and marketing representative for 13 years at the Credit Bureau of Columbus in Ohio.
He is a director of CENTRAN (Central Hampton Roads Transportation Association) and former member of the Norfolk Residents Organization VIP Board. He attended Ohio State University majoring in English and journalism.
Retail Alliance, formerly the Retail Merchants Association of Tidewater, is an Equifax credit reporting affiliate offering collection services, credit and mortgage reports, pre-employment screening tools, and check guarantee services. The company also offers professional development, training, and business resources for retailers. Founded in downtown Norfolk in 1903, Retail Alliance’s service area now includes all South Hampton Roads communities, the city of Franklin and Isle of Wight County.
