Note: When you make your request to Equifax, it must include your name; social security number; date of birth; current employer; telephone number; and a check or money order for $9.00 unless you qualify for a free report.
You can obtain a copy of your free report once a year here
You are entitled to receive a free copy of your credit report, if:
- You have been denied credit within the last 60 days
- You are unemployed and are actively seeking employment
- You are receiving public assistance
- You believe you are a victim of fraud
Warning: Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, any person who knowingly and willfully obtains a credit report under false pretense (for example obtaining a credit report on an individual without their permission), is subject to a fine up to $5000 or imprisonment for up to one year, or both.
