Retail Alliance’s board also appointed four new directors representing a diversity of retail operations.

Robert W. Cooper is the President of Altschul’s clothing store. Established in 1898, Altschul’s offers first quality men’s and women’s fashion merchandise.

Pamela Katrancha’s Garden Gazebo was established in 1994 and currently operates one year-round location with a wide variety of home décor offerings and other locations during the holidays.

Michael A. Monteith owns Mike’s Surf Shop in Hampton, Virginia selling clothing and surfboards and operating one of the area’s only indoor skateboard parks.

Verrandall S. Tucker established his Elite Clothiers in Chesapeake 14 years ago, concentrating on fine men’s clothing and uncompromising customer service.

Donald Porter, president/CEO emeritus of Retail Alliance. “Retail Alliance was founded in 1903 by successful local retailers. It is wonderful to work with so many board members whose companies were started here and will remain in our area.

The Retail Alliance Board elected Susan L. Milhoan as president/CEO, replacing Porter, who retires in June. Milhoan is an association executive with extensive Chamber of Commerce and public relations experience and served as president of the Greater Jackson Chamber of Commerce in Jackson, Mich., since 1999. “Susan brings a tremendous diversity of experience to the Retail Alliance,” said Porter. “She is focused and creative, with an impressive list of accomplishments.
